Expert guidance through the
technology decisions
that matter most.

Maycrest provides vendor-neutral technology advisory to organizations of every size — from initial assessment through implementation and beyond.

01

Recommendations grounded in your environment, not vendor preference.

Most organizations end up with technology they were sold rather than technology that fits. Maycrest conducts an independent assessment of your environment before making any recommendation — ensuring every decision is driven by operational fit, not supplier economics.

02

Technical depth where most advisors rely on sales experience.

There is no shortage of consultants who can present a solution. There is a meaningful shortage of advisors who can evaluate why it is appropriate for your environment, what implementation will require, and where risk exists. That distinction is the foundation of how Maycrest operates.

03

Most organizations are overpaying or underserved — often both.

Outdated contracts, underperforming infrastructure, and misaligned service agreements are more common than most organizations realize. A structured technology assessment surfaces these gaps and establishes a clear baseline for improvement.

The full market, evaluated without bias.

Maycrest holds appointments across the full vendor landscape. Every engagement begins with a thorough assessment before any recommendation is made.

Unsure where your current technology stands?

A Maycrest technology assessment provides a structured analysis of your environment: what is performing, what is not, and where investment is warranted. Complimentary, with no obligation.

Maycrest works with organizations of every size, from growing businesses to large enterprises. Every engagement is scoped to your environment. Recommendations follow analysis, not catalog availability.

Business Communications

VoIP · UCaaS

Unreliable or legacy communications infrastructure creates measurable operational drag — missed connections, fragmented workflows, and systems that fail to integrate with the broader technology stack. Maycrest evaluates your current environment and identifies the right cloud communications architecture, whether hosted PBX, SIP trunking, UCaaS, or Microsoft Operator Connect, based on your scale, structure, and requirements.

SD-WAN

Software-Defined WAN

SD-WAN replaces static, cost-intensive legacy circuits with intelligent, policy-driven routing that optimizes traffic in real time. For organizations managing multiple locations, inconsistent performance, or escalating WAN costs, it represents a significant architectural improvement. Maycrest has deployed SD-WAN across a broad range of environments and selects platforms based on your topology, security requirements, and operational priorities.

Network Infrastructure

SASE · Connectivity

Network performance has a direct impact on productivity, application reliability, and security posture. If your connectivity infrastructure has not kept pace with organizational growth or cloud adoption, Maycrest conducts a formal assessment of your current architecture and identifies a path forward — whether that involves carrier changes, SASE adoption, or a phased infrastructure upgrade.

Cloud Contact Center

CCaaS

Cloud contact center platforms offer measurable advantages in reporting, workforce flexibility, and operational scalability over legacy on-premise systems. The CCaaS market is crowded and vendor-differentiated in ways that matter operationally. Maycrest evaluates platforms against your call volume, team structure, CRM integrations, and compliance requirements, and manages the procurement process from evaluation through contract execution.

Managed IT

Managed Services

Organizations without dedicated IT resources — or with lean teams managing growing infrastructure — benefit significantly from a well-structured managed services arrangement. Maycrest identifies and qualifies managed service providers based on your size, complexity, and support requirements, and remains engaged post-placement to ensure service levels are met and the relationship delivers ongoing value.

Wireless WAN

LTE · 5G · Starlink

Wireless WAN solutions have matured significantly and now represent a viable primary or failover connectivity strategy across a wide range of deployment scenarios. Whether your organization requires connectivity at locations where wired infrastructure is limited, redundancy for business-critical circuits, or flexible connectivity for temporary sites, Maycrest assesses the available options and recommends based on performance requirements and cost structure.

Maycrest holds no preferred vendor agreements and carries no placement quotas. Every recommendation is the product of independent analysis.

Stan Michaud has spent his career on the technical side of enterprise technology decisions — evaluating architectures, designing solutions, and managing the delivery of complex engagements across organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies. That work has spanned network infrastructure, unified communications, managed services, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity.

Prior to founding Maycrest, Stan served as a Solutions Engineer responsible for translating business requirements into viable technology architectures — work that required both technical fluency and executive-level communication. He has overseen more than $3 million in solution design and 1,500+ deployments across the U.S. and Canada over the course of his career.

Maycrest was founded on a straightforward premise: organizations deserve advisory that is technically credible, commercially independent, and oriented toward long-term outcomes rather than transaction volume.

  • Assessment and analysis precede any recommendation
  • Vendor selection is driven by fit, not economics
  • Engagements extend through implementation, not just procurement
  • Transparency when a solution is not the right fit

Every Maycrest engagement follows a structured advisory process. The assessment phase is non-negotiable — it ensures that recommendations are grounded in your actual environment rather than generalized best practices.

01

Technology Assessment

A structured analysis of your current environment: infrastructure, contracts, costs, performance gaps, and alignment with business objectives. Findings are documented and prioritized regardless of whether an engagement proceeds.

02

Advisory & Recommendations

Based on assessment findings, Maycrest develops a prioritized set of recommendations with clear rationale for each: what it addresses, expected investment, implementation scope, and associated risk considerations.

03

Vendor Evaluation

Approved recommendations are taken to market through a structured vendor evaluation process. Maycrest manages RFP development, proposal review, and comparative analysis, providing an objective recommendation on vendor selection.

04

Implementation & Ongoing

Maycrest remains engaged through deployment as client advocate, managing escalations and ensuring delivery against contracted scope. Post-implementation, we serve as an ongoing advisory resource through renewals and evolving requirements.

The technology assessment is complimentary and conducted without obligation. It is the most direct way to establish whether Maycrest can add value to your organization.

Common questions about how Maycrest operates. For anything not addressed here, the contact page is the most direct path to a response.

How does Maycrest differ from going directly to a vendor or carrier?+
Engaging a vendor directly means working within their portfolio. Maycrest operates across the full market with no preferred vendor agreements, which enables objective comparative analysis. Our compensation comes from providers upon placement, meaning the cost to the client is equivalent — with the addition of independent advisory throughout the process.
What does the technology assessment involve?+
The assessment is a structured review of your current environment: infrastructure, communications, contracts, costs, and performance gaps. It typically spans one to two working sessions and produces a prioritized findings document regardless of whether a further engagement is pursued. It is designed to deliver standalone value.
Is there a fee for the assessment?+
No. The technology assessment is complimentary. Maycrest's business model is commission-based, earned from vendors and providers upon client placement. This structure aligns our incentives with long-term client outcomes rather than transactional volume.
What size organizations does Maycrest work with?+
Maycrest works across the full spectrum — from single-location businesses to Fortune 100 enterprises. The advisory process scales to the complexity of the environment. Engagement scope and deliverables are calibrated accordingly.
Our organization already has vendor relationships in place. Can Maycrest still help?+
Yes. Many engagements begin mid-contract or in advance of renewal. Maycrest can assess whether existing agreements remain competitive, identify service gaps, and support renegotiation or transition where appropriate. An independent review is valuable regardless of current vendor relationships.
Does Maycrest manage implementation, or only procurement?+
Both. Maycrest manages the full advisory cycle from assessment through vendor selection and remains engaged as client advocate during implementation. This includes escalation management, scope adherence, and coordination with vendor delivery teams. Our involvement does not end at contract execution.
What is the typical timeline for an engagement?+
Timeline varies by scope. A focused assessment and single-solution recommendation may conclude within a few weeks. A broader engagement spanning network, communications, and managed services across multiple locations will require a longer timeline. Maycrest establishes realistic milestones based on assessment findings and does not compress decision cycles for transactional reasons.
What is the nature of the post-implementation relationship?+
Maycrest maintains ongoing advisory relationships with clients following implementation. This includes performance monitoring, renewal support, and strategic input as organizational requirements evolve. The residual commission model means our business is financially aligned with sustained client satisfaction, not one-time placement.
